Migrating from Legacy to IP Network Infrastructure in Enterprise Networks
Today's enterprises are considering an IP infrastructure to lower network costs and enable the future delivery of enhanced services for additional revenue and increased profitability. They view the technology migration as an opportunity to simplify and modernize their network in order to offer converged applications to a growing user base.
This drive for convergence is causing both carriers and enterprises to evaluate and implement a network migration to IP. This paper focuses on the migration of Voice over IP in enterprise networks. It covers the drivers for IP followed by a review of the planning process and key implementation issues.
